Town of Addersmouth
Jun. 30th, 2016 04:11 pmPlaceholder overview:
- The Imperial lives in the ocean near what has become the town. She is a) enormous even for an Imperial and b) an oracle of uncommon precision and…range, I guess. Maybe can see into your past as well as your future. Every so often her eggs wash up on the shore; some of the resultant children leave, others stay and essentially function as her point of contact with the world.
- Basically I’d be picking up a random male to breed with her and then exalting him, to be repeated whenever I feel like having heirs because I don’t do things on a schedule apparently.
- Most of the inhabitants of the town are dragons who came to speak to the oracle; some were allowed to, some weren’t. Some stayed because of what she told them and some stayed for entirely unrelated reason.
- There is a lighthouse keeper who also lives in the town and is the only inhabitant who has never asked for an audience with the oracle; the lighthouse has been in her family for [insert reasonable length of time here] and she has no interest in knowing her future.
- They’d probably end up having some vague link to Sparkspell just for coherency purposes, and also because of course Sparkspell would be interested in an ancient oracle. But they’re not directly related.
- No more than two of the Imperial’s children live in the town at the same time. This is because the oracle can see through the eyes of her children, if they allow it, and she can’t really travel so she wants to see the world by proxy.
